  • Climate Change
    The Climate Change Compendium, one of a series of compendiums developed by LASP, contains activities and lessons from a variety of sources that will help facilitate classroom studies about the serious issues involved in climate change.
  • Dancing Lights
    Dancing Lights is a science literacy program about the aurora for 3rd through 5th grade students. LASP is offering a contest for the 2008-2009 school year in conjunction with the program.
  • Space Weather
    K-12 students learn about the Sun and how it interacts with the Earth's magnetic field in a series of lessons. Additional resources for educators, links, and images also available.
  • The Sunspot
    The Sunspot is a publication about solar activity for middle and high school grades.
  • Astrobiology
    Learn about the Center for Astrobiology and its mission to find out about the possibility of life in the Universe. Scientist Spotlight

Dr. Tom Woods

Dr. Tom Woods has two very important responsibilities at LASP.  As LASP’s Associate Director of Technical Divisions he is guiding the lab into the future with a broader perspective to meet the lab’s long-term goals.  In addition, as a Senior Research Scientist, he is involved in numerous past, present, and future solar research missions.
